The book Giotto by Carlo Carrà is from Gabriela Mistral’s personal library. Her collection of books reflects her interest in a number of areas, including biography, zoology, geography and religion. This one about the Mediaeval artist Giotto di Bondone is in Italian and was written in 1924 by the artist Carlo Carrà, one of the leading Futurists in the 1910s.

The book was donated to the Nobel Prize Museum in 2019 by Pedro Pablo Zegers, director of the national library of Chile, and Hernán Bascuñán, the Chilean ambassador to Sweden.
