These stamps were used by Paul Boyer in his work in his office. As the head of a major research institute, Paul Boyer had many documents to sign and keep track of. The stamps probably made him more efficient.
Molecular biology rocketed in the 1960s. Boyer was in charge of activities at the Molecular Biology Institute of University of California Los Angeles from its founding in 1965 until 1983. The Institute had its own new building and included a cross-departmental research training scheme.
The stamps were presented to the Nobel Prize Museum in 2017 by Professor Steve Clarke, University of California Los Angeles, whose office once was Paul Boyer's office. - Pristagare
